He let Max walk away with a world championship without a real fight. Why would anyone think he’d risk his relationship with the FIA over a few race points? Nothing surprising here.
@vedshah01 It’s a reminder of what Mercedes has become as an organization, rather than a reflection of what Lewis deserved. One controversial decision doesn’t define his legacy. If there’s one thing I’m confident about, it’s that his eighth title is coming eventually.
Unfortunately for George, Mercedes seems to have already chosen the narrative they want to promote and that narrative is Kimi. Hopefully he leaves Mercedes after this season and joins a team that truly values him.
If George wants to be in this fight, he needs to start acting a lot more ruthless and give Toto the headache he deserves. This constant focus on being thoughtful, diplomatic, and putting the team first might earn praise internally, but it won’t secure his future.
Lewis is becoming a real problem for Mercedes. If George keeps prioritizing team points, composure, and the bigger picture while Kimi races with nothing but ambition, he risks losing his place as the team’s focal point.Mercedes will view him as someone to help Kimi win titles.
The second Hamilton starts building momentum, Verstappen fans suddenly become experts on Leclerc’s Ferrari legacy.
The discomfort with Hamilton getting praise is becoming impossible to hide.
Some people seem to have a very short memory. Charles Leclerc is Mr. Ferrari, and he has been carrying the team on his back for 8 years.
Please, put some respect on his name. Last year, he dragged that tractor to 7 podiums and a pole position.
George gets blamed for an engine failure while leading a race.
Leclerc crashes into the wall in Q3.
One gets judged for things outside his control, the other gets sympathy for an actual mistake.
The standards clearly aren’t the same for everyone.
Those words were laughed at and turned into memes for months while George was flooded with abuse over them. There was brief attention when Max hit his car on purpose, but it still didn’t fit the narrative, because everybody needed Max as the victim. Now conveniently framed as one.
They call George a quitter for honestly saying things aren’t working right now, but when Max openly questions his future every time the car stops suiting him, suddenly it’s just ‘passion’ and ‘frustration.’ Same emotion, completely different standards.
i gen don't understand what 63s see in him bc i couldn't show my face again if my driver said he basically gave up on the wdc after 5 races and a 43 points deficit with a teenager in the same machinery
@MV33Racing@SuperMikhail1 George isn’t acting like he’s above those emotions. He understood Antonelli’s frustration and even defended him this weekend when reporters kept bringing up his age. Being a role model doesn’t mean never reacting emotionally, it means taking accountability when you do. Simple.
@F1Clapped This was never a mentality issue for him or the people supporting him.If the car keeps failing every race, there’s only so much any driver can do.He could genuinely lose the championship over something completely out of his control. No amount of “locking in” is going to fix that.
Max fans supporting his driving right now means nothing to me because he hasn’t had to go wheel-to-wheel with Max yet. The second that happens, people will finally get what everyone’s been saying.
And that’s why Toto was worried about the championship getting into his head and kept talking about protection.Once he feels untouchable,he gets reckless and risks costing the team points. He’s lucky it’s only been George,Lando and Charles so far, imagine him trying that with Max.
The fact that he felt the need to search for George’s eyes, choose photos, and attach them to this tweet is genuinely weird behavior. Don’t know what made him think this was okay to post. The fixation is honestly uncomfortable.
@russelldocs I feel like he can’t really talk about how bad his car is anymore because of the sabotage comments around Mercedes. It might not be his best track, but there’s no way that gap is on him. It really feels like he’s being told to tone it down.
