This year, Denmark expanded its taxpayer base by targeting an unusual demographic group: cows. Yes, cows are expected to cough up €100 annually. To ease the pain of new taxpayers, the government is offering a 60% rebate. But why cows? Why not dogs or lizards? (1/10)

Back to the main question: will Denmark also tax dogs or lizards? Maybe not, since they don’t contribute methane. But as we learn more about our very planet's atmosphere, it’s clear that every meal, every mile, and every click on the thermostat counts. (9/10)
