I see a connection between Fahrenheit 451 and The Giver because in both societies books are not allowed. In the giver only rule books and instructional books are allowed. This is so everything is fair and no one person is smarter or more knowledgeable than others. #aplac2

Does their society know of a religion/ have a religion? To me the Bible doesn't seem like a book that would need to be removed. So is the society removing anything to do with individuality/ difference between eath other?

I think Guy has been questioning the society for a long time, bc he didn't turn Faber in for suspicion of having a book with him in the park. He could have easily turned Faber in but, by not doing so we can assume that Guy may have been questioning the society for a while.#aplac2

Why was clarisse killed off so soon? Also, it didn't seem that Guy was to phased by this even though he seemed to have cared for her. Is this something that happens so frequently that its almost normal, similar to the society in 1984? #aplac2

I found the part about how firemen start fires instead of putting them out to burn the books, closely resembles the book 1984 in that their society got rid of things to shape the future of how Big Brother wanted it to be. #aplac2
