My Airbnb host Robert Grogan(who has 90 listings in the Jersey area) left @jadefromboston and I with no heat the first day and a half of the stay, made us take apart his HVAC system to do maintenance he should’ve done prior to us arriving. And on the second day we had no electricity, no heat, no hot water and no help for 12 hours. @Pandora_Skye was nice enough to get us a hotel room so we left the listing and Robert told us he would provide us with a full refund after our stay was over. But he only wanted to refund us $42 out of $810 we spent for 3 days and $20/day parking. I’ve been in contact with @Airbnb@AirbnbHelp for weeks now and they have not been helpful. The video below is a phone call that Airbnb has recorded of one of their employees Kent and I talking. Kent told me that if I sent proof that there was no power and that Jade and I left, we would get a full refund. I sent it, no word back from Kent or anyone for a week. They refuse to go back to the call even though I told them the date it happened(per their request)and they only want to provide a small partial refund when we were told in text by our host and over recorded phone call by Airbnb that we would receive a full refund on our stay that was supposed to have power and heat🙄Obviously the “evidence was sufficient” since they granted a partial refund so where’s the full refund we were promised @Airbnb ? Do you really think a listing with no heat, no electricity, no hot water, and a neglectful host is worth paying over $600 for? Are these the experiences you want your customers to have? Do you think a host who failed to do maintenance on his HVAC system and forgot to pay his electricity bill deserves my hard earned money?
