I tak dzieje się tu od setek lat, o czym najlepiej świadczą średniowieczne, gotyckie freski w Kościele Najświętszej Maryi Panny w Lubecku koło Lublińca, zawierające także fresk, odnoszący się do zstąpienia na Apostołów Ducha Świętego w postaci gołębicy. Fresk ten znaleźć można na północnej ścianie lubeckiego prezbiterium. Zachował się do dziś znakomicie, mimo prawie 700 lat od jego namalowania.

This Pentecost Sunday, the Church offers a beautiful spiritual gift: a Plenary Indulgence for the faithful who devoutly recite or sing the hymn Veni Creator Spiritus in a public setting. (Enchiridion Indulgentiarum, Manual of Indulgences, Grant 26).

A plenary indulgence is the full remission of the temporal punishment due to sins that have already been forgiven — a powerful reminder of God’s mercy and the Church’s spiritual treasury.

Veni Creator Spiritus (English Translation):

Come, Holy Spirit, Creator blest,
And in our souls take up Thy rest;
Come with Thy grace and heavenly aid,
And fill the hearts which Thou hast made.
To Thee, the Comforter, we cry,
To Thee, the Gift of God Most High;
The Fount of life, the Fire of love,
The soul’s Anointing from above.

1) Publicly pray or sing the Veni Creator Spiritus (in church, with family, or in a group);

2) Receive Holy Communion;

3) Go to Sacramental Confession (within about 20 days before or after);

4) Be free from attachment to sin, even venial sin;

5) Pray for the intentions of the Holy Father.

In 1937, Rupert Mayer stood in his pulpit at St. Michael's Church in Munich and preached against Hitler.

By then, Germany had been a Nazi dictatorship for four years. Most priests remained silent. Most bishops tried to negotiate with the regime. Most Germans cheered. Mayer preached the opposite.

He was 61 years old—a Jesuit priest in a black cassock, standing on a wooden prosthetic leg. He had lost his original leg 21 years earlier. Here is how he got there.

Rupert Mayer was born in Stuttgart on January 23, 1876, the son of a prosperous merchant. He wanted to be a Jesuit from his teens, but at his father’s request, he became a diocesan priest first. He was ordained in 1899 at age 23, and a year later, he finally entered the Jesuit novitiate.

By 1912, he had settled in Munich, the city he would serve for the rest of his life. After World War I, Munich was a broken place—full of jobless veterans, hungry families, and people drifting in from the countryside with no housing or hope. Mayer went to work. He collected food and clothing, found jobs, and walked the streets at night to visit the poor. He walked, then hobbled, then walked again on that wooden leg.

He had lost his leg during the Great War. Having volunteered as a military chaplain, he served in field hospitals and the trenches across France, Poland, and Romania. On December 30, 1916, a grenade exploded near him, destroying his left leg. He was awarded the Iron Cross, First Class—the first priest to receive one of Germany’s highest military honors.

Back in Munich, he never stopped. By 1921, he was preaching at St. Michael's and celebrating Mass at the train station at 3:10 AM so workers could attend before their early shifts. The city began calling him "the Apostle of Munich."

Then came 1933. Adolf Hitler became Chancellor, and the Nazi Party began closing Catholic schools and trying to replace Christian identity with Nazi ideology. While much of the clergy stayed quiet to protect what they had, Mayer went straight to the pulpit. He preached against the Nazis by name, stating that a Catholic could not be a National Socialist and that Hitler’s racial theories contradicted the Gospel.

The Gestapo began sending informants to his sermons. In 1937, they ordered him to stop speaking in public altogether. He obeyed the letter of the law by avoiding rallies, but he returned to his pulpit and preached harder than ever.

He was arrested on June 5, 1937. At his trial, he told the judge: "Despite the ban imposed on me, I shall preach further, even if the state deems it a punishable act." He was given a suspended sentence, but he didn't stop. He was arrested a second time in 1938, then a third time in 1939. This time, the Gestapo tried to force him to break the seal of confession to reveal the names of Nazi opponents. Mayer refused.

At age 63, the one-legged priest was sent to the Sachsenhausen concentration camp and placed in solitary confinement. His health collapsed quickly. Fearing that his death in the camp would create a martyr, the Nazis moved him to Ettal Abbey under house arrest in 1940. For five years, he was forbidden to preach, leave, or receive visitors. He waited and prayed while his country destroyed itself.

On May 11, 1945, American soldiers liberated the Abbey. A U.S. officer personally drove Mayer back to the ruins of Munich. He climbed back into his damaged pulpit at St. Michael's and told the congregation: "Even a one-legged Jesuit, if it is God's will, can live longer than a 'thousand-year' dictatorship."

He spent his final months preaching reconciliation and forgiveness, refusing to call for revenge. On November 1, 1945, while preaching during Mass on All Saints' Day, he suffered a stroke and collapsed. He died within minutes, still in his vestments, still in his pulpit.

Mayer’s story matters because when most chose survival over witness, he chose the truth. He could have stayed quiet, but as he told a Gestapo interrogator, ....

On May 18, 1565, an Ottoman fleet of nearly 200 ships arrived at Malta, carrying an army of 30,000 to 50,000 soldiers, including the elite Janissaries. Their mission was to wipe out the Knights of St. John, the last surviving crusading order in Europe.

Standing against them were around 6,000 defenders, including some 500 Knights. If Malta fell, nothing would stop the Ottoman conquest of Sicily, Italy, and the heart of Christian Europe.
Grand Master Jean Parisot de Valette, a 70-year-old French nobleman, gathered his Knights before the battle. According to the historians of the Order, he told them they had entered a struggle between the Gospel and the Koran. After receiving Holy Communion, all vowed to shed their blood in defence of the Faith.

The Ottomans pounded the walls with dozens of heavy siege cannons, including massive basilisks firing 160-pound stone balls. When Turkish forces breached the walls in August, Grand Master de Valette himself, pike in hand, charged into the breach and led the counter-attack from the front.

After three months of siege and the loss of more than 20,000 men, the Ottoman army retreated on September 8, 1565, the Feast of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary. Malta still celebrates this day as il-Vitorja, the Victory.

The myth of Ottoman invincibility had been shattered. Pope Pius IV offered de Valette a cardinal's hat. He refused. 300 European nobles rushed to offer their service to the Order. The new city of Valletta was built and named in his honor, and Malta became the capital of the Knights for the next two centuries.

The siege paved the way for the Holy League's triumph at the Battle of Lepanto six years later in 1571.

The natural outcome of sex is a child. That’s not a rocket science. If you’re not prepared to take responsibility for a new human life, you’re not ready for the act itself. You can argue until you are blue in the face about freedom and rights and everything else, it doesn't change the truth. Stop acting like an irresponsible, petulant child. I know, difficult, because feminism gave you brain rot.

If you are a woman willing to.murder her child for convenience, you're WRONG.

If you are a man willing to allow a woman to murder a child, or encourage her, you are WRONG.

Biology doesn’t negotiate with feelings or convenience.A woman is only fertile roughly 4–5 days per cycle. That means even outside of marriage (which is the wisest path), true responsibility only requires abstaining a handful of days a month. Is that really so difficult? Has whoredom become so rampant that you can't shut you legs for a few days? Amd to the men, same thing? You can't control yourself for a few days? Modern culture acts like pregnancy is an unpredictable accident. And the solution? Murder a bunc of babies, with callous indifference.

And we watch society and individuals crumble alike. Why should this be surprising?

The hedonistic, transactional, self centered depravity of our society is appalling. And it will only bring you more hardship. Stop swallowing the lie.
