Did 3 months in a shared flat, my landlady had some alert on her phone.

My working conspiracy theory:

The Epstein document releases were structured to shield powerful US oligarchs, with key information redacted, while exposing foreign elites, particularly in Europe, potentially to create political or economic destabilization abroad.

The timing is hard to ignore, especially amid escalating Trump-EU tensions.

What’s striking is the asymmetry in consequences.

US fallout has been largely confined to “reputational damage” for people already in the public eye.

Europe, on the other hand, is seeing actual systemic collapses.

In the United Kingdom, the fallout has been devastating. Peter Mandelson, former Ambassador to the US, was fired and faces potential prison time. The scandal has triggered a leadership crisis for Prime Minister Keir Starmer, and the Royal Family is reeling after more details surfaced about Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.

In Norway, authorities opened a criminal corruption probe into Thorbjørn Jagland, former Prime Minister and head of the Nobel Peace Prize Committee.
