While distributing water in East Palestine today, one resident shared with me that Norfolk Southern reps are checking ID’s to ensure people picking up bottled water live in the 1 mile evacuation zone. Those outside the zone, even slightly, have to buy their own.

@NydxkPols @GoodVibePolitik I’m saying they have changed their narrative multiple times about the severity of the impacts. The responsible thing would have been to say “we don’t yet know what’s in this water, do not use it.”

EPA assured residents repeatedly that the water is safe bc the contamination on the surface and won’t affect well water (as if there isn’t exchange between the two)
