This phenomenon is endlessly fascinating to me and I am patiently awaiting 15 years from now when this exact sentiment is expressed by 20-somethings about the sequel trilogy.

After being assaulted by 15 years of "____ was bad actually" Youtube reviews, I hope that this sort of generational divide allows us to understand the merit of personal taste, how it's formed, and cues us to stop getting worked up over whether something is objectively the bestest or the worstest thing ever.
