@HumanBeingAlpha@peachtard@ContaInvestidor Might be a silly question, but what is the point of the Pope making these stances then?
My assumption has always been that it’s to provide a sort of “moral guidance,” or to show the current Pope’s application of Catholic theology to modern political/social issues. Is that right?
@BlackCognition0@OMgunn14@jimdrunknmiller However, I can still understand someone drawing a connection between the two, because I do think both sentiments are a bit of an “awareness” type thing. Again, definitely see your point though.
@BlackCognition0@OMgunn14@jimdrunknmiller It does. Now that I think about it, there honestly might be an inherent disconnect between the two simply because of their nature. One is an internet, buzzwordy culture war type thing. The other is a full conversation between two partners. Kinda hard to compare at all, really.
@BlackCognition0@OMgunn14@jimdrunknmiller And I can see how that could be considered similar logic to a boyfriend warning their girlfriend that men around them could be sexually interested in them, so they should be wary/safe/cautious.
Both sentiments, at least to me, feel like “be aware of the potential for this.”
@BlackCognition0@OMgunn14@jimdrunknmiller I definitely see your point, but I also see how these could be viewed as contradicting ideas. I say this because I’ve always interpreted the sentiment behind “all men” to be “men around you could potentially be dangerous, so be wary/safe/cautious.”
@MaryJaneDoe513@X_kris_O@shoe0nhead@OGKING_31@OldManMartens She continuously took drugs throughout this whole ordeal, which means she was getting more and more inebriated as the night went on. You have to, at the very least, consider the possibility that there was a point in the night where she became too inebriated to consent at all.
@MaryJaneDoe513@X_kris_O@shoe0nhead@OGKING_31@OldManMartens I think the reality is this isn’t a typical rape case and everyone is trying to rationalize it as if it is. This is not your usual scenario where someone starts the sexual encounter at a certain “level” of inebriation and doesn’t ingest more substances throughout it.
@shoe0nhead@X_kris_O@OGKING_31@OldManMartens It’s evident that her level of coherency and ability to make rational decisions was diminished significantly over the course of the night, and by the time the other men arrived, right?
Obviously, this makes the timeline a bit fuzzy, like when did her ability to consent “end.”
@shoe0nhead@X_kris_O@OGKING_31@OldManMartens I’m not entirely convinced that the fact she willingly took the ketamine has as much weight to it as you’re giving it.
Offering a girl ketamine, having her snort multiple lines of it, then inviting other men into the scenario when her impairment is now worsened seems intentional
@shoe0nhead@RafaelD92551683@yeahalting just the 4. But we know that he absolutely knew that there were more than 4. Even if his memory failed him, there were the texts in the chat.
She asks how more men entered to begin with and he tells her the house got too full, yet he’s the one who texted an invite in the chat.
@shoe0nhead@RafaelD92551683@yeahalting I know discussion on this gets heated, and I’m not trying to contribute to that, but in all fairness… this audio does show something new; he’s lying to her.
When she asks him about how many men were in the room, he says both of them could be misremembering if it was more than—
RE: how many seats in HoD voted Spanberger, at least 65 did. The question is whether she won these HDs:
74 (Cherry)
99 (Ferrell Tata)
100 (Bloxom)
If she wins at least 2 of these then she won a supermajority of HoD seats. Work's begun by our Elections Coordinator for estimates
