Abubakar Suleiman, director-general of the National Institute for Legislative and Democratic Studies (NILDS), has warned that the All Progressives Congress (APC) risks jeopardising its political hold on Kwara state if it zones its 2027 governorship ticket to Kwara north.

Suleiman made the remarks on Friday in a statement addressing the zoning debate in Kwara state.

He acknowledged that power rotation remains an important mechanism for inclusion and balance among the three senatorial districts in the state.
