@TheBrancaShow Agree. I’ve listened to 100s of hours of cockpit recordings of doomed and saved planes. Is there panic and yelling? Sure. But its absolutely amazing how uncommon it is. Most the time the pilots are calmly discussing solving the problem when they know they are seconds from impact.
@StevenSchmzcy3@AI_EmeraldApple “We were just about to call you!”
Basically the equivalent tone of, “No, dad! I didn’t take your car to go out on the town with the girls!”
It literally just get worse and worse.
Female pilot from FL crash, struggling on the radio from a flight 3 months prior. There were signs. There are always signs…
@BigJethroBoden@StefanMolyneux Not enough mass to cause much shaking of the ground. This plane was not very heavy at all. Imagine a paper airplane hitting the interior wall of a house at 100 mph. Even at that speed it will just fold up without doing any damage to the drywall.
@TerribleJyon@proverbs_14_23 That outer five feet or so of the wing was such a small amount of material and had so little weight that it just shattered and barely harmed the pavement.
@JFGariepy Does it matter who was in control? The audio revealed a pilot coming completely unglued. Yes, understandably so, but as a pilot you are supposed keep your cool. I have listened to many cockpit recordings of crashing planes. Its rare to hear them lose control like this female.
@bungalo00646461@KYRAGRYPR A more accurate way of saying it: some women can be as calm and cool as the most calm and cool man, but they are the exception, not the rule. When it comes to controlling emotions, most men are on a totally different level than most women.
@KYRAGRYPR I meant Alaska 261. Those two male pilots inverted the plane to keep it in the air and were still trying to figure it out when their feet couldn’t reach the rudder controls.
@Gods_Got_My_Six@KYRAGRYPR Its not ruining the world, just the US and the western world. The rest of the world is laughing and taking advantage of this foolishness.
@BecomingBigDeal@DisaffectedPod Good point about age and wisdom. Imagine how much worse it was when average life span was 40 something. Seems selfishness and brutality would be much more justifiable. Religious books make much more sense when understood through the brutality of the times they were written in.
@DisaffectedPod The 50s-00s in the US was a great time to be alive. We don’t live in that time anymore, so I don’t look to that culture for meaning. But, the rise of digital media allows constant immersion in the culture of that time, which it seems many people do, similar to platos cave.
