@cholatera@DavidJoBrexit I’d rather them spend the money on their own historic buildings in this country which are being neglected by them in favour of vanity projects and idiocy
@Tantrumfly@Tesco Doesn’t take much to put a call out. But also makes me recall an incident at work a number of years ago. Was working a busy hospital ward on hot day. Heard through the window dog whining so looked out and saw two dogs locked in a car. Phoned security, RSPCA arrived quickly.
@NimPar1575@bobmca1 I think there was a court ruling about this in the late 1990s. A new resident applied to court to silence the bells and the court ruled that it was tradition and so should continue
So, I’m annoyed this morning. Vandalism of #historic grave cover (carving initials). Reminds me of the damage done to the #colosseum
Seems people have a lack of respect for #heritage in #Eccles#Britain
Just completed a fantastic week at #Chadkirk Weir supporting @OfficialUoM Archaeology Students field project on behalf of @NautArchSoc Great group - wishing them luck in their ongoing studies #Archaeology
@imcorinnemec@MailOnline What’s worrying me is that we don’t seem to have progressed very far with the ongoing beliefs in the ‘medicinal value’ of rhino horn, bear bile and tiger bones 🤬
Great talk from our Chair, Mike Williams, and Jason Lowther on the Protection of Wrecks Act. 50 years of the act has had challenges but also many successes!
A member of the public in Eccles asked me to post a video of the #bellringing there yesterday in memory of #QueenElizabethII. To honour that request I posted a video on YouTube of the bells being ‘rung up’ and first 15 minutes: https://t.co/jJesYKdLk4
