A huge day today - my first senior author paper published, and it's in @NatureComms 🥳 This project was an awesome effort from the @geckoconsortium led by my great mate, Angela Crean. It looks at the intxn of diet and male repro - but in a very diff way!🍎

I've had a lovely time at #ESASRBANZBMS2024, getting back into my work passions after mat leave. Grateful for the wonderful, supportive @ReproductionSRB community 💓🧪
Very proud of Sarah Kunkel repping MARBL at #SRB2023. Sarah is a coursework masters student who took on a proteomics research project with me this year, and absolutely smashed it! @ReproductionSRB 🦘
For the last ep of season 3, we talk to @KarlaHutt about #oncofertility 🎗️ including how cancer treatments can impact fertility (spoiler; repro impacts aren't included in most clinical trials!!) and the amazing research trying to prevent this damage. https://t.co/O6HauJMHum
I’m honoured to be considered for the position of student representative for @ReproductionSRB. If you’re a student member I would really appreciate your vote! I would love the opportunity to advocate for SRB students and develop a strong student network.

From today everything work wise officially goes in the "Future Taylor's Problem" basket - I'm headed off on maternity leave 😍🤱 I'll probably be a bit quiet on here for the next few months, but I'll be back!
Other options include ‘I don’t have the capacity right now but:
-… ask me again in the future’
-… this other person might be interested’ (sponsor someone)
Great opportunities come back! Better say no than don’t deliver (would do more damage to your reputation than good)
@spdegraaf @ControllingLMNT Absolutely wild. Also clearly from the good old days, where you could write methods like "The test animals consisted of rats and mice either of which are satisfactory for the purpose. In our work a larger number of rats were used because they were available." 😂
Abstract submission date and early bird registrations are looming for the ESA-SRB 23 conference in Brisbane! 👏👏👏 Deadline is 25 August. Ensure you don't miss out on a great deal for a great conference! @ReproductionSRB

Happy horses birthday 🥳 What better way to celebrate than with an episode dedicated to Equine reproduction. We spoke with @mandidemestre from @cornellvet to answer all your pressing equestrians! (feel free to leave you best horse puns below)
Have you got a new paper that you want highlight? Why not try a Tweetorial (a story-like thread of tweets) to increase your reach on social media! We’re including some handy resources below to get you started – make sure you tag @ReproductionSRB so we can retweet ♻️🤩
Had a great time speaking at the @SIRTnews Qld #WordEmbryologistDay event last night! Always a lot of fun to talk science to a different crowd, and even a few animal scientists who've made the jump into the clinic 🤰⚕️
The sun sets on another @SSRepro meeting and my term as the 2021-2023 @SSR_Trainees rep! It's been a huge learning experience, a lot of work and so much fun 🧵
