I take great pride in promoting our amazing school and community when we host big events. It is truly an honor to host the IHSAA Boys Basketball Sectional 39 next week in Elwood. I wanted to add some special touches to make this an unforgettable experience for the players of each team. Just like March Madness, each winning team will receive a custom nameplate and have the opportunity to run to the wall, celebrate, and move their team forward on the bracket as they advance to the next round. My hope is that the players from Frankton, Lapel, Sheridan, Tipton, Taylor, and Elwood will always remember competing in the 2026 Elwood Sectional. A special thank you to Jeff Hester for helping bring this vision to life, and to Kelly at 185 Promotions for creating the outstanding signs and nameplates for the sectional. Thank you to my athletic intern Averi for helping me build the bracket today.
