Harrisburg officials say a HBG City police officer shot a man who opened fire on him. This is at the intersection of Cameron and Maclay St

The investigation has been turned over to the Dauphin County District Attorney’s office.

Happening now: State lawmakers are talking about the need to alleviate medical debt in the state.

In his budget address, Gov. Shapiro proposed investing $4 million to wipe out medical debt for thousands in Pennsylvania.

The Cumberland County District Attorney says the two officers involved were justified in the shooting after saying Liberator had a weapon and tried to stab an officer with a weapon during a physical altercation .

Happening now: We’re expecting to learn more about a deadly officer-involved shooting that happened last month in Carlisle. 33-year-old Nathaniel Liberator was shot and killed by police on Jan. 13. We’ll have a live report on @abc27News at noon.
