@RachelK57165692 By far the best I’ve seen yet, there something for everyone! And the idea of getting them outside, because we all know what being trapped in a house can do to someone. And who doesn’t love some colorful chalk drawing!! #Educ300#08Sp2020
@Carolin27309367 This is a good one! I think the peer to peer interaction is especially important during times like these when an online classroom can make you feel alone with all the work.
This amazing 11th grade teacher is utilizing the google norm meaning. Even through the pandemic she is still sticking true to her english educator roots and posting “social distance” reads where she recommends and showcases great literature to her followers. #EDUC300#08Sp2020
A few realities the Covid-19 pandemic has made clear:
1. People who are poor always suffer the most.
2. Society collapses when schools aren’t able to run (also: aren’t funded or well-resourced).
3. Teachers deserve way more pay. (Not up for debate).
One of my favorite learning spaces!!The creativity, expression, freedom of imagination. Art work can strike entire movements, our Social Reconstructionism ideal of ameliorating social problems is done art class rooms across the world.
@RamanKa82638417 My historical figure ended up teaching me things about education I never even knew, Getting to talk with another classmate about this person really tied everything together
@JesseCa92229430 Thid activity was a good one! It really helped me put a picture to the different philosophies, now every time I see perennialism All I see is the witch
@hannahvmontero I think it’s important to note how “zoning” when students are zoned for a certain public school based on their location. Is one easy way to gerrymander the rich all in one school and the poor in another. Further perpetuating the Matthew Effect.
Just found this article and think that this band must have a lot of psychological safety within the group, so that everyone can feel comfortable and confident with each other — sticking together “like a family.” https://t.co/ofmQJ4Vuho
@JesseCa92229430 This article also shows how well this band works together by having meaning with what they’re doing. The clear “girl power!” They stand behind.
This article speaks about a sports team who was undefeated, with a 23 home game winning streak at the time. Yet, they gave all their thanks to the crowd. The band playing, crowd cheering added a “pep to their step” “made them play with a bit more pride”.
