Lately, I've noticed everybody looks OK until you eventually have a deep conversation with them. And then, you'll realize that, this is a sad generation of people struggling to survive through smiling faces and pretty pictures.
you can receive love without having to be perfect, without having to sacrifice yourself, without having to “prove” that you are worthy of attention and love, without having to neglect yourself. you can be loved simply for being you and showing up as yourself.
just say it. everything left unsaid will be felt in one way or another so say it. relieve yourself of the mental and emotional anguish that comes with hiding.
oftentimes I get sad about the leftover information in my brain from past connections. walking by their favourite flowers, seeing food/drink they’re allergic to, recognising lines from poems and books I remember they liked. then I realise it means I truly cared about knowing them
