Every one of you is probably watching the unprecedented events unfolding in Ukraine.

Unprecedented.

While many became intoxicated by strikes on Russian oil refineries, major warehouses and other targets inside Russia, convinced that the Russian economy was finally about to collapse, reality has delivered a sobering answer.

Russia has dramatically expanded its production of missiles, including ballistic weapons, as well as high-speed attack drones.

For several days now, Kyiv — the capital of Ukraine — has been subjected to sustained waves of Russian strikes. The scale is increasing. The stakes are rising.

So what is left for us to do?

Act — each of us from wherever we stand.

There should be no illusions left about the security of Europe. Europe is vulnerable. Ukraine is not some distant battlefield detached from the rest of the continent. For the purpose of this argument, allow me to call Ukraine Europe — because that is exactly what it is.

And today, Europe is facing this threat largely on its own.

Continue supporting Ukraine. Every day Ukraine remains capable of fighting is time bought for the rest of Europe.

But support cannot stop there.

Learn basic medicine and first aid. Take a firearms safety and marksmanship course where it is lawful. Learn how drones have transformed modern warfare. Understand what electronic warfare, reconnaissance drones and strike drones mean on a modern battlefield.

You do not need to become a soldier.

You need to stop assuming that someone else will always be ready when the moment comes.

Preparation is not panic. It is responsibility.

The time to prepare is not when the first missiles are flying over your city.

It is now.

Because in war, hesitation is not an abstract political failure.

It has a cost.

And sometimes that cost is measured in lives.

🇩🇪 A mug reading “Russian Army” was found in the office of one of AfD’s most pro-Russian politicians

The politician in question is Hans-Thomas Tillschneider, deputy leader of Alternative for Germany in Saxony-Anhalt. During filming in his office, a journalist spotted a black mug with a red star and the words “Russian Army.”

“I don’t associate anything special with it. It’s just a mug that was given to me here and happens to be sitting here,” the politician says.

However, according to BILD, after the filming Tillschneider tried through his lawyer to prevent the footage featuring the unusual souvenir from being published.

Hans-Thomas Tillschneider is considered part of AfD’s most pro-Russian wing. After Russia launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, he traveled to Russia but was forced to cut the trip short following criticism from within his party.
