It’s beyond time to have that conversation about Jared Triolo.
Fielding has not been worth the absolutely anemic bat this year. Negative WAR. What are we doing here?
Pissed about the series in Atlanta. They are 34-32, however. Do me a favor and look up where they were at this time last year.
That being said, it’s become painfully obvious that improvement with the pen (internal or external) will be the key factor in if this team makes it.
Cruz has come through consistently for this team so far this year.
You learn to live with the strikeouts when a guy is going 30/30 and has a habit of producing clutch moments at the plate. #LetsGoBucs
Have been thinking a lot about Bryan Reynolds today.
This moment couldn’t have been had by a more deserving Pirate. Stuck through hard times and signed long term.
Quietly having a great year benefitting from the team actually putting talent around him. Good for him.
The MLB owners nailed this proposal. 100%.
A fairly wide cap gap (245m cap / 171m floor) + consolidation and revenue sharing of local + national TV.
Top teams still have ability to spend ~70m more than the bottom feeders. But strategic roster building matters more across the league w/ cap structure.
And MLB player salaries will continue to rise.
This cap structure will also create a free agency frenzy window in the off-season like we have never seen before (like NFL, NBA, NHL have) — because teams and players will feel pressure to get deals done before cap $$ dries up! A fun week for fans to lean into. And for MLB to own.
Bravo.
Players, get on board.
The national baseball media has demonized a cap for so long they can't even approach honestly trying to explain it to the readers and listeners who they've programmed for years. It's sad to watch, and I'm irritated in advance by how many dumb questions they'll spawn trying to.
Source: I’ve been told Konnor Griffin is currently being evaluated for a minor forearm strain. He underwent some testing, mostly out of precaution. Was told he’s currently day-to-day.
Lowe has to be one of the better trade acquisitions this team has made this century.
Between him, Horwitz, O’Hearn, Griffin all being added/other bats breaking out within the system + the already impressive rotation….
Is this what hope feels like? #LetsGoBucs
I remember when I was furious that he was traded last year.
Yet another reminder that some of these folks do this stuff for a living for a reason and I should stick to MLB The Show.
We are saddened and heartbroken to share the news of the passing of Kyle Busch, a two-time Cup champion and one of our sport's greatest and fiercest drivers. He was 41 years old.
We extend our deepest condolences to the Busch family, Richard Childress Racing and the entire motorsports community.
