An absolute pleasure to be at the MSU Kwekwe Campus today to witness the graduation of thousands of talented students at the 27th Graduation Ceremony. Our universities continue to be hubs of innovation, churning out visionary leaders ready to build our economy .

Today, I had the honor of virtually connecting with leaders, experts, and partners at the 8th Meeting of the International Solar Alliance (ISA) Regional Committee for Africa, proudly hosted in our beautiful resort city of Victoria Falls, Mosi-oa-Tunya. Zimbabwe is humbled by the global community's confidence in our nation to host this pivotal summit.
We remain deeply committed to advancing Africa's critical role in the global energy transition agenda. We commend Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India and President Emmanuel Macron of France for their ongoing commitment to strengthening solar energy partnerships with Africa. Africa possesses some of the world’s richest natural endowments.
Our solar resources must be viewed as vital instruments to industrialize, modernize, and scale up access to essential services in line with the African Union Agenda 2063. We must deploy greater leverage around regional and continental financing platforms, maximizing regional electricity markets and shared infrastructure.
Our transition must be just, inclusive, and leave no one and no place behind. We bear a shared responsibility to empower our women and youth as central participants—whether as entrepreneurs, technicians, engineers, or investors. We must strengthen local capacity to manufacture, adapt, install, and maintain solar technologies. Initiatives like the Solar Technology Application Resource Centre (STAR-C) are welcome initiatives that will contribute to increased technical knowledge, training, and skills transfer to our young people.
The International Solar Alliance provides us with an excellent framework to optimize our solar potential, secure our energy systems, and uplift our people. Together, let us harness the power of the sun to bring prosperity to Zimbabwe and the entire African continent!

I spent time with people with albinism in Chitungwiza, listening to their stories, hearing their concerns and reminding them that they are an integral part of our Zimbabwean family.
Their experiences, including stories of skin cancer and failing eyesight, were a powerful reminder of the health challenges they face and the need for greater care, protection and early screening.
I also handed over dermatological lotions, clothing, food hampers and other essentials to support the health, well-being and dignity of people with albinism. Every citizen has a talent, a purpose and a contribution to make.
Our duty is to build an inclusive Zimbabwe where everyone has the opportunity, dignity and support to realise their potential. Together, we must continue breaking barriers, dispelling harmful myths and building a society where no one feels forgotten, excluded or left behind.

Guided by this year’s theme, "Zimbabwe Defence Forces: Guaranteeing Peace and Stability for the Attainment of Vision 2030," we recognize that sustainable economic growth and development are impossible without absolute peace.
Let me also take the opportunity of these commemorations, to extend my sincere gratitude to the generality of the people of Zimbabwe for the support we continue to render to the Zimbabwe Defence Forces. Our military ensures the secure environment necessary to transform Zimbabwe into an upper-middle-income society.

It was a profound honor to arrive in Knowe, Norton today to officially commission the Vineyard Assembly of the Apostolic Faith Mission (AFM) in Zimbabwe.
The Church remains a vital pillar of our nation, serving as a moral compass, fostering social cohesion, and driving community development. To further strengthen the Vineyard Assembly's ministry and expand their community outreach, I am pleased to have supported their construction efforts and to hand over a new 36-seater bus alongside additional ministry motor vehicles.
I am deeply touched by the warm reception and expressions of gratitude from the congregation and the broader Norton community. As a government, we remain unyielding in our commitment to supporting faith-based institutions. Together, we continue to build a morally upright, spiritually uplifted, and prosperous nation.

Under Phase 2, Davipel Holdings has invested USD 15 million in its headquarters complex, a new stockfeeds plant, and a corn snacks plant, all now operating at 90% capacity utilisation. Since inception, the company has created employment for 600 workers.
This modern investment consolidates agricultural value chains, enhances national food security, and delivers value addition for farmers. It promotes import substitution and export growth, fully aligned with Government’s policies on ease of doing business and private sector-led industrialisation under the National Development Strategy and Vision 2030.
