PJ Devereaux just presented results of POISE-3 at ACC. TXA decreased bleeding but had a slight (0.3%) incr in Vasc events so non-inferiority could not be established. Still - looks potentially promising in ortho & other major surg. Will significantly reduce transfusions. See NEJM
