Andy Barr once proposed term limits that would have capped House members at 12 years. Now, 14 years later, he's still in Congress.
Apparently, term limits are a great idea when they apply to everyone else.
Tonight’s debate was another reminder that Andy Barr’s promises are easy to make and easy to break. No wonder Mitch McConnell handpicked him as his successor.
Same old Washington politics, same old swamp and same old broken promises! Kentucky deserves better!
ANDY BARR: We want people to graduate out of Medicaid because they can get better health insurance through work. Work is a blessing, not a punishment.
CHARLES BOOKER: If Andy Barr knew anything about work, he would be working in Washington right now to bring down your costs, to protect your healthcare, but instead he's slashing them.
Mary Lou was a lifelong Republican who had voted for Andy Barr in every election but when she needed him most, he vanished and broke all of his promises to her.
I told Mary Lou’s story on the debate stage tonight because it’s the story that working people have been telling for too long. They elect a politician that promises to help them and then breaks the promises to put millions of dollars into their own pockets.
Andy Barr broke his promises to Mary Lou, just as he’s spent 14 years breaking his promises to Kentucky families. But Mary Lou’s story deserves more than me telling it so please, hear it directly from her.
Cory Curtis: “I like to remind people that the same people who are in charge now that were in charge when you had six straight winning seasons and four trips to the playoffs”
Holy North Korea—That doesn’t look like Steve Underwood, Jon Robinson or Mike Vrabel to me.
Trump’s core 2024 promise was bringing down costs by being the energy president — “when you bring down energy costs, everything else falls.”
The story of 2026 is that his energy policy, killing clean energy to make us dependent on oil, gas, and coal, has been a massive failure.
this is totally what comms people say when they have absolutely zero intention of ever letting you speak to their principal.
(apologies to everyone ive said this to)
keep at it @PaulKuharskyNFL@JaredStillman@BuckReising !!!
The #Titans today told me they’ll let me know when Burke Nihill is available for an interview.
Is a soft decline because they don’t want me to constantly report that they constantly say no to my regular requests.
He’s team president and CEO.
Nihill has said he’s been empowered by Amy Adams Strunk to speak on behalf of the organization.
I seek to speak with him about recent front office firings, the state of the winless franchise and his role in what continues to appear to be a dysfunctional operation.
A seemingly related note: Recently, the team removed non-football people from their administrative listings on its website. (Even Nihill isn't on there.)
Inexcusable. Unprofessional. And cowardly.
Titans are spending a billion $$ in taxpayer money for a new stadium guaranteed to make the entire Adams family exponentially richer.
Amy owes the people whose money she’s taking answers. Stay on them @PaulKuharskyNFL@JaredStillman
The #Titans today declined to make Amy Adams Strunk or Burke Nihill available when I requested them for interviews.
Nihill has said he’s been empowered by Strunk to speak on behalf of the organization.
“The Situation Room connected the call. Biden jumped in. “Bibi, man, what the fuck are you doing?” He gripped the phone tight. “You think I’m Santa Claus? No Santa in Israel, pal.” https://t.co/0kwtLSmVJL
Twenty-five years ago today, we lost 2,977 souls and in the years since, thousands more to illnesses caused by the attack on our country.
This morning, Jill and I hold close the families who carry that loss every day. We honor the heroes of September 11th: the firefighters and police officers who rushed into the towers and the Pentagon, the passengers who fought back over Shanksville, and the generation that stepped up to serve in the aftermath.
Even now, we remember the greatest lesson of one of our nation's darkest days: at our most vulnerable, unity is our most powerful strength.
We will never forget.
Every September we mark Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. This year it’s more personal for me.
More than 330,000 American men this year will hear the words we did last spring when I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. By the time we found it, it had already spread to my bones.
When prostate cancer is caught early, the five-year survival is close to 100%.
So have the conversation with your doctor. Don’t put it off.
If you're at average risk, that conversation should start around 50, and the guidelines now say screening every 2 to 4 years. If you're a Black man, start it at 45 or earlier. You are nearly 70% more likely to get this disease and 2 to 4 times more likely to die from it. Which is an outrage in the richest country in the world.
If your father or your brother had prostate cancer, start the conversation at 45, and even earlier if more than one of them did.
I am deeply grateful to the doctors, nurses and other medical professionals who helped to control my cancer and who continue to take such good care of me. Their skill, dedication, and compassion mean so much. The radiation treatment from last fall worked as intended, and I continue to do the things I care about, like finishing my memoir.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out and continues to keep me and my family in your prayers. We appreciate every single one of you.
It’s my hope and prayer that by sharing our experience and being part of this important conversation, we can help save lives. Talk to your doctors. Ask the hard questions. Do it for yourself, and do it for the people who love you.
And no matter what, keep the faith. God bless you.
Today’s AI fights will soon give way to tomorrow’s.
Today it’s a data center next door.
Tomorrow, it’s cameras on every block, algorithms that denies your health care, an AI that takes your job. Or worse.
We’re here to help Dems win the politics of tomorrow. And today.
Simply put, Dolly Parton was an American original. She was an inspiration to millions. She was a relentless advocate for women and for equality. Through her Imagination Library, she placed the gift of reading into the hands of millions of children because she understood literacy is the foundation of opportunity.
But perhaps most importantly, Dolly treated everyone with kindness and respect. She lived her values with a flair and vitality for life that was uniquely her own. She was a trailblazer in every sense of the word, and she will be missed by millions around the world.
Jill and I are keeping her family, her friends, and her millions of fans in our prayers.
God bless Dolly Parton.
This is, in fact, not new information. It has long been known China gained access to some voter information in several states.
This is the same voter files that are available to the public. If you have $485, you can buy it directly from the state of Georgia.
Please pre-order a copy of former President @JoeBiden book on his remarkable presidency. He’s a leader we know. A Patriot who never stop working for the American ppl. Thank you Joe!
