Amazing time meeting Insiders at our event Monday in SF and then exploring Build on Tues. I met folks who do tech support for seniors, talked to brand new developers just starting out, and chatted up 2 rocket scientists. Common thread was passion and opinions - keep 'em coming!
Who's coming to Build next week? I'll be there for Day 1 and it's my first-ever time attendingπ Share all your pro tips and LMK if you're going to be there - I love hearing feedback on Windows in person.
Energized to be back at Build with the developer community and share what we have been building. Today, we're introducing new @Windows capabilities designed to meet developers where they are with less friction and more flexibility, across local and cloud, any language, any framework. https://t.co/fT5KAjW8qr
@thowluk Thanks for reminding me to check in on this - the team looked into it but couldn't repro on Win11, if you're able to file a bug with a sample photo or DM me more info, that would be super helpful!
@cybercpu@Microsoft Agree we want to provide more customization so folks can make it work for them - so we just shipped the ability to turn off All Apps (or the other sections) to our Experimental ring, along with some other personalization options. Give it a try.
@designedbyabin I'd love to understand more about the scenario where you're dragging windows between desktops. Does the app launch in the wrong desktop by mistake or is it part of your workflow to move them around?
@designedbyabin Thanks for the additional info. FWIW I used to do this with family too - I once told my dad to "click on the cat" daily search gleam - but now I pin Quick Assist to their taskbar and use that to just fix anything they need - so much easier than talking them through it.
I use AI all the time to build, write, and moreβ¦ but today Copilot CLI solved a problem that has annoyed me and every parent I know since my kids were in preschool. I got the classic βhere are 47 volleyball practice dates, good luckβ email from my daughter's coach /1
@onghu Oh I do love it! I actually do most of these - aside from the weather π- if it's not in the calendar it's not realπ I would totally try AI again, maybe a Copilot task that can do this for you daily?
Today we're announcing the new Surface Pro and Surface Laptop for Business, powered by Intel Core Ultra Series 3. The result of deep collaboration between hardware and software teams at every level. Proud of what this team has built π. https://t.co/EkxfIUngAW
@ChuZhen1 Our goal is to get them there as soon as we can (first to Insider Beta, then General Availability) but it'll vary feature by feature so we can make sure each one is ready to go.
Now available: updates that make the Taskbar and Start feel way more personal. Youβve been asking (loudly! repeatedly! passionately!) and you were right. Let me know what you think.
Your PC, your way π. Rolling out more personalization improvements to Windows Insiders, including moving your taskbar to any edge of the screen, and making taskbar smaller. Read on to see what you can start trying today in the Experimental channel π: https://t.co/9U01hAs0fs
