The South India Zonal Office, Tea Board India, organised a Capacity Building/Training Programme on "Value Addition in Tea and its Packaging Techniques" (by Dr. V. Veeranan Arun Giridhari, Associate Professor, Food & Nutrition, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore) at Coonoor on 17.06.2026. A number of Small Tea Growers Specialty Tea Producers/Organic STGs of Nilgiris-Wayanad attended the programme. A Tea Tasting Session conducted by Dr. Poobathi Raj, Tea Technologist, UPASI TRF, Coonoor, was also organised during the programme.
