@Powerofthe4th @HSTeachProbs 100% agree with this. Autonomy is a universal wellbeing need and when policy makers and poor leadership take this away, our wellbeing suffers.
Absolutely stoked to chat to psychologist, author and director of Healthy Minds @DrTomNehmy on this weeks podcast episode. Tom provided us with some great tips and tricks to improve and maintain our wellbeing

@robbiescousin Research and my own personal experience shows not enough. It comes down to leadership and whether they prioritise it or not. Teacher wellbeing is everyone's responsibility but unfortunately a lot of people think it's an individual concept.
@AusJournalEd@acereduau@SAGEJournals@SAGEeducation Absolutley loved reading Corbett et al's article. However, it's very alarming that there are 63 teacher wellbeing PDs but only 3 provide evidence of their evaluation. Also as concerning is that only 6 PDs included physical activity which has been shown to improve wellbeing.
On this weeks episode we are joined by Kali who discusses her experience teaching in a range of country towns, her opinion on teacher wellbeing and explains her reason for stepping away from the profession.
