Presiding Officer Chiz Escudero lightened the mood during the impeachment trial after House private prosecutor Lorna Kapunan said, “Na-Indian po kami,” referring to the defense team’s failure to respond to her messages about the proposed meeting.

“Hindi ka Atty. Lorna in-Indian, baka ghinost ka. Kasi hindi ka sinagot, eh pero hindi ka in-Indian. Wala namang pinag-usapang date pa,” Escudero told Kapunan.

The remark drew laughter from the impeachment court before the proceedings moved on to the submission and comparison of the pre-marked exhibits.
