@smithsmm Despite reading to them/ with them everyday from birth until they were at secondary school - and even then if I could persuade them, neither of my two children enjoyed reading. Both v successful at school, then Uni and in late teens discovered they do like it after all!
@BeckyMarie80 For Year 6, I’ve used Tuck Everlasting - the road in Chapter 1 and My Family and Other Animals describing the villa ( not sure which bit of the book ) x
@SuzanneFourie @geesa76@MichaelRosenYes How big your teeth are Grandma! Little Red Riding Hood the way I remember them too! But probably shouldn’t put a ! after that last sentence! Or that one! 😱
@LynnCorinBTN@debrakidd Did a SCITT aged 52 and 5 years later became Deputy Head at the school I love - never too late - remember life experience is a valuable commodity - good luck 😀
@Nicki_Chapman 1975 trip to Ostende, Belgium, Sister Concepta playing rounders on the beach - wimpole comes off - a whole chapter of my project dedicated to the revelation of her hair. Lots of comments about whether or not she would marry Father Osborne during the week too!

@twinklresources Adults in class club together and buy some books for the book shelf. Wrap in brown paper and string (Home Front topic this term) and open at the end of term.
@lukeoldroyd @primaryteachew@MrTs_NQTs@_MissieBee Lots of great choices but thought I'd throw Windrush Child into the mix - combined with the poem from John Agard
@redgierob Definitley the most difficult for children remotely - e.g.coming up with ideas for extended pieces without benefit of collaboration. Basic standards dropped - handwriting, punctuation, spelling etc. and trying to then get children out of bad habits has been difficult.
