@MrsWelshTurner Yes!! And I'm having awful insomnia issues and was supposed to find my exercise moho as I have a half marathon on Oct. Sending love and good vibes.
Why Are Teachers So Tired All The Time? 😴
Research shows we make about 1,500 decisions a day! The constant requirement to ‘be on’ becomes DRAINING to our brains and bodies. It is called ‘Decision Fatigue’.
This explains a lot!
I've been contemplating doing this for the last few years. When I first qualified, I would do timed assessments alongside GCSE classes and then use my answers as models. Really helped me understand misconceptions and struggles.
I noted on centre services that the mark schemes for the AQA A level physics exams are out.
Every year I sit down and answer the questions as a student would.
When the mark schemes come out I mark them honestly and see how I did.
It's great CPD.
Here's how I did... 🧵/1
@oldenoughtosay THIS. I don't have endometriosis but have/have had a plethora of other hormone related issues and I was advised at 24 to have a baby. Now at 34 I'm being recommended for basically sterilisation to 'solve' my symptoms 🙈
Having worked constantly through the last 2 weeks writing policies, responding to consultations, writing my final PGCert assignment (🥳) I'm off on holiday with my lovely family for the first time since 2019. See you in a week!

Interesting priorities.
@RogersHistory I love the challenge of adapting my content to meet new needs every year.
I'm only now 7 years in taking on more responsibility: I've focused on being a classroom practitioner and learning as much as I can about pedagogy.
I have a life outside of school: hobbies are a must.
@MrsSpalding Not sure🙈 Referred x Rray to paeds and if he can't weight bear in 48 hours then off to the big hospital. Keeping everything crossed 🙈🙈 Thanks for asking!

Huge, exciting changes for me next term. It's been such a roller coaster of a year and I am drained. Time to recharge, finish my NASENCO and give my babies lots of cuddles before we embark on preschool for eldest in September....
