Yeah, the petition might not make any difference at all, and let’s be real, they rarely do. So let’s set expectations properly: zero expectations are the best expectations. That way you can only be surprised, not disappointed.

But at the same time, if you NEVER make any effort, then nothing will change for sure. That’s guaranteed.

And honestly, this goes way beyond Destiny 2. This is just life in general. A lot of us get lazy or feel like certain things “won’t matter” anyway, so we don’t vote, we don’t speak up, we don’t bother taking action because we think one person can’t make a difference. But that kind of mindset is exactly how huge decisions and bad outcomes happen.

I never really talk politics, and I’m not trying to get into that here at all as everyone’s got their own views and this community is our escape from all that outside-world nonsense. But the point is: if people care about something, they should at least try to stand up for it.

So if someone wants to fight for the Destiny franchise, this is one way to do it. It takes like a minute. Maybe it changes nothing… maybe it does. But if nobody speaks up or shows support for what they believe in, then absolutely nothing will ever change. That’s the only guaranteed outcome.

We have things to get in order on Destiny 2, but I'd like to take a moment to praise to friends and coworkers on Marathon. It's not every day your studio ships another game, and as a longtime Bungie fan outside of my career here... this is really special.

The hard work done since the start, especially over the last year, has been a sight to behold. Highs and lows, it's been very much inspiring. From the perspective of a soon-to-be player in the live environment, it's been a delight.

To talk about the blood, sweat, and tears would be an understatement. Heart and soul? There's been even more than that. The team has done so much to create and deliver what's about to land. The look, the feel, and the chaos... all combining to create something unique.

Marathon Server Slam starts tomorrow. The moment my workday is done, Tau Ceti awaits. Can't wait to play with y'all.
