@Josh_Lively1@ReggieHayes7 A free base is more statistically likely than the hit and, relatedly, working the count deeper always can tire a pitcher for balance of your lineup. Sure, if you were playing ‘one on one’ baseball, you are accurate in your assessment.

Another Denny story. I saw Regis perform dinner show at Andiamo. Regis was opener for Ed Sullivan and met Denny back when he was on show. He calls him out ‘where you been all these years?’ Someone yells from back ‘prison!’ Regis looks up and quickly walks away. :)
@rexcrum@Super70sSports He was working the counter of 7-11 during work release. I had a 30 game winner ring up my Big Gulp. He and I talked baseball for a bit. True story.
@cmccosky He hits high and away with four seam and comes back with get me over curveball. I suspect the curveball began at same point as four seamer and he was trying to get hitter looking for repeat of first pitch, the curve then broke for strike. Not a terrible approach.
Summer ball is heating 🔥
Evaluators are hitting the road.
Hitters - want to stand out?
1. Be prepared to hit when you are in the double hole, helmet, batting gloves, protective equipment - on
2. Focus and breathe in the hole, don’t jack around in the dugout with your teammates. Give yourself a mental at bat before stepping on deck. Be intentional with your purpose.
3. Routine, routine, routine on deck. Practice “your feel” and clear your mind
4. Walk up to the plate like you own the place and swing like your there to do damage.
5. When you get out (that happens more than you will get a hit), act like you’ve been there a million times.
6. Be the first one on the field on defense if you can
Baseball is a game that is mired in failure. In order to get through it, you often have to remind yourself of the positives. Sadly, most coaches don’t understand this and think they need to beat you down.. but Wencel, in my mind, is clearly hurting. This is a ‘remind himself of who he can be’ post

Marshall lays down a beautiful bunt getting to first safely while also moving the runner from first to second

Tiger season holder here, asking for clarification on your point, and not looking to bring negativity here. Kmac’s xwoba is .389 on zones 1-4-7, and .319 elsewhere. I’ve actually noticed they have been focusing on zones 1-2-3 causing more pop-ups/getting under. Am I missing something?
Luis Arraez talking hitting, and explaining things he works on. This video is one of the best hitting videos you'll watch. Hold your finish with your head down; it will be an absolute game changer for your career as a hitter.
