We wanted to make sure city destruction in Gido Gido was actually fun and satisfying. 🦖💥
So right after we got our kaiju look down, we built this. This was one of our earliest destruction tests with the original Gido concept. What do you think of the physics? 👇

How it started vs how it’s going 🦖💥
We started with a simple idea, what if we can make a fun kaiju game? a little bit cute but also a little chaotic.

game night shouldn’t require:
👎 splitting into groups
👎 someone sitting out
👎 modding just to play together
that’s why we built Gido Gido for 8 players!
Day 5 of posting our indie game trailer to get at least 100 likes so I get $50 from my boss
and my boss said if you like it you might be considered for our exclusive closed beta
Most likes so far: 7
We wanted to create a game where friends and families can have fun playing together. Definitely laughter with maybe a side of yelling.
Imagine PEAK, Lethal Company or REPO.
And we wanted the game to be easy to pick up and chaotic at the same time like Mario Kart or Super Smash Brothers so we added PvP in.
This is how we came up with the game mechanic where you and your teammates have to control one character to win.
If you love MOBA games you’ll probably hate our game.
We wanted to create the same competitive feeling of Smash or Mario Kart in a PvP game but not quite League or Pokemon Unite.
It’s definitely challenging to find that balance but it’s super fun.
Day 5 of posting until I hit 100 followers and beta testers for my 4v4 kaiju party brawler Gido Gido
Progress: 14/100 (thanks @BrokeTerry & @Flying2TheMoonX)
slowly realizing strangers on the internet are my only hope
I’m running out of reply energy and my boss keeps checking!
As an indie game studio we really enjoyed PICO PARK as a team building activity but didn’t realize it was released 10 YEARS AGO 😳
We built our game @GidoGidoGame with the same social chaos in mind.
Except it’s cute little kaijus battling each other 🦖⚔️
