@seanmdav Truth is both pieces of legislation are bad - for very different reasons. They're are also pristine examples of what you get when Congress doesn't do its job to communicate, debate and legislate with the good of the American people as the single most important priority.

You're right Kyle. Senator Collins is poised to lose her seat to a Dem, not because the people of Maine have moved further left but because the see her as a do nothing Senator and Platner is vehemently promising to actually work for them. All @SenatorCollins has to do is work to pass the SAVE America Act and move other core legislation forward that's languishing due to Thune's lack of leadership.

Senator, Please tell your colleagues, including Leader Thune, to stop being intuitionalists who prioritize Senate tradition over results. It's time to throw those old ways out. Democrats will do that the moment they take power. End the filibuster, but preserve floor debate, and ignore or replace the Senate Parliamentarian but require Committee review and markup. Then pass the SAVE America Act, protect current and enact new tax cuts, and reduce the size and scope of the federal government.
