De arabieren hadden dik 40 tanks, bijna 400 pantservoertuigen en zo'n 150 stuks artillerie. De Syrische R35-tank die nu nog steeds als monument in kibboets Degania staat omdat hij daar in 48 werd uitgeschakeld, staat er echt niet voor de sier.
