An important overview on the several verdicts on #Brexit ten years after!

Brexit ten years on:
unsettled and unsettling

@NorfolkGTI@PandaScottish@BorisJohnson Especially as a SME owner You did probably profit more from being in the 🇪🇺 than You (want to) realize.
Harmonizing over more than two dozens of nations is no easy task for politicians and it did help You selling and buying EU-wide.
(😛😁)
@SkyNews@AliBunkallSKY 🤪Reframing everything positive towards Trump. 🤪
Merz' gift was the ideal present for a host nation of the FIFA World Cup. But Trump seems to have forgotten it. Like all the other G-meetings: the real stuff is going on behind the curtains without Trump, like in Biarritz.
@FurkanGozukara Remember how harshly media used to report on the "Insulating Britain" protesters for potentially blocking emergency routes? Compare this to the softer coverage of this far worse mob that actually IS blocking routes and does far worse deeds.
@RealRusty Was ist nur aus 🇩🇪 geworden.
🙄
Traurig!
@LeighQuilter@RichardHanania 5/ also not talked about is that the UK media coverage of everything in the EU and its members had been very poor, both before and after Brexit, until even now, thus blocking neutral discussions about comparisons between the UK and the continent.
@LeighQuilter@RichardHanania 4/ also not so much talked about was that the "🇪🇺 migration" (I put it in "" as other 🇪🇺 member states don't call it that way) would have slowed down anyways towards an equilibrium as the wealth of the new members was rising fast (Poland being best example for that)
@LeighQuilter@RichardHanania 3/ What hadn't been talked about so much or forgotten: the UK was the EU member that had been pushing the EU eastwards extension and let in big numbers from the new members at once. That hadn't been necessary, other EU members slowed the sudden impact.
@LeighQuilter@RichardHanania 2/ the way 🇪🇺migrants had been pushed out was utterly shameful 😤, causing disruption in many mixed 🇪🇺🇬🇧 relationships, causing immense harm on both sides of the Channel.
(See the books "In Limbo" and the work of the "3 million" organization)
@LeighQuilter@RichardHanania 1/ Yes, "since" is not 🟰 to "bc". But pushing out "🇪🇺 migrants" made the import of even more even cheaper non-🇪🇺 migrants possible. To deflect from that, politicians/media focused on the "illegal" migration via boats, thus avoiding the discussion about far bigger visa numbers.
@greenwoodpeter "Enjoyable to see the Remainer angst" sounds a bit like MAGA speaking of "enjoying drinking lib's tears". Not a good basis to get society together again. 🙄 (We in 🇩🇪 don't blame the 🇪🇺 for our reduced growth, we know the reasons are the stronger competition in manufacturing)
@_TYay0_@runaway_vol Nix Moin, selber Moin. In de Pfalz is schunn Rieslingschorle-Zeit. (Mit Dialekt kann man noch ein paar Jahre menschliche Existenz vortäuschen).
Awwa wer hot dir erlaubt moi Alter hier ins Schbiel zu bringen? Doxx dich g'fälligscht selwa, du Lumbehund!
😉
@ghostinvoid Regarding shutters You are right: there should be more of them. Also windows with a better k-value. But insulated houses protect not only from the cold, they protect from the heat as well. In Germany You can't tell Your nonsense anyone. Are You paid by the fossil industry?
