To expand my backend development skills, I set out to improve a Health Metrics Calculator I had previously built as a frontend-only project. The calculator estimates key health indicators including BMI, BMR, MHR, IBW, and TDEE.

I decided to integrate the following backend features: user authentication, health history tracking, user profile management, a chart to visualize health trends over time, and an option for users to download their results as a PDF.

Currently working on a company website in the pharmaceutical space.
They needed a blog section to share updates and articles. Sure, integrating a headless CMS like Contentful could’ve sped things up… but I opted to build the backend from scratch for more control and flexibility.
