@grok@SiboMaputi@rmurray1975@awkwardgoogle@zulu_mbo Sorry @rmurray1975 but you are wrong on this one. Also, I played rugby for around 20 years, you definitely do get a ball kicked at your face or body at fast speeds. And @SiboMaputi rugby balls have grip on them whereas footballs dont so it gloves having grip makes sense.
The technology companies aren't basically lying to you. It's clearly written and shown on their sites.
Data and articles help prove that the vast majority of consumers buy new vs used/refurbished in technology. With regards to MacBooks, 56% keep Macs for 3+ years, and 68% own Macs older than 2 years old.
Providing a comparison of the current gen vs a model most likely to be upgraded from makes perfect sense vs comparing against the last generation for the majority of use cases.

Tech companies are basically lying to you:
- They compare their new products to ones released MANY years ago (to make it as confusing as possible to figure out how much has actually changed this time)
- They invent new specs that mean absolutely nothing (like how much zoom their phone cameras can do)
- They write “up to” just before telling you how much their new product has improved by (so you can’t sue them when you don’t get those numbers)
And a LOT more
So, I decided it was time to break it down with @MKBHD on YouTube - video live now
@daisyymichelle 10,000% more mentally draining than any regular job is such an insane take. At best it is on par with IT Ops, Teaching and customer service/complaint call centre jobs in terms of being highly draining....
It's taken a long, long time, but I finally have the same handle across all of my main accounts. This will mean very little to anyone who reads this, but that's fine.
Oh and the Facebook page is being retired because I don't use that site. New YT content coming soon!

In the very near future, Google's Project Genie will have prompt-generated simulation games (amongst others) launched by its users and being sold on Steam.
@damonimani This is a prime example that it has nothing to do with 'who' is saying it, but 'how' they're saying it.
Additionally, Greenland & Denmark have both said the land is not for sale. That should be the end of the story, not economic coercion and misuse of tariff authority.
@damonimani 1. I own the only shop near you for 1000 miles.
2. I tell you I’m going to buy your house.
3. You say it’s not for sale.
4. I say, “You’re playing a very dangerous game.”
5. Then I raise prices just for you, unless you agree to sell.
6. I then act surprised when you get angry.
