The ostrich-looking legs are gone, and Digit 5 looks seriously different.
Agility Robotics fifth-generation humanoid can carry up to 23 kg, reach 2.2 meters, and is designed to work in industrial environments.
With swappable grippers and support for existing automation systems, Digit 5 is built to take on real-world tasks.
BREAKING: Elon Musk says the U.S. and China should agree on AI regulation for the safety of humanity.
“I think a really important thing that would be good for the safety of the whole world would be for China and the U.S. to agree on a platform for AI regulation that ensures the safety of AI for all of humanity.”
🚨: If a Hidden Dark Dimension Exists, Primordial Black Holes Could Reveal Its Geometry
Physicists are exploring whether hypothetical extra dimensions could leave detectable signatures in primordial black holes formed in the early universe. If such a “dark dimension” exists, studying the geometry and behavior of these ancient black holes could offer clues about regions of physics beyond the dimensions we directly experience.
Elon Musk on China’s AI progress 🇨🇳
“The Chinese AI models are generally outstanding actually
I mean you can see on the sort of intelligence rankings there, especially given the limited amount of compute that the Chinese AI companies have, the performance is excellent
Probably China's doing by far the best in terms of performance per unit of compute
And as I've said publicly, you know, I think China's going address the compute limitation in, I think, faster than most people expect
My rough guess would be that China addresses the compute constraints with lithography and chip making in about two or three years”
Tesla Optimus is going to change the world in a way most people still don’t fully understand
For the first time, we are building a general-purpose humanoid robot that can do the work of a human
Not just a machine built for one specific task, but a robot designed to operate in the real world
Humans will be able to regain the time they’ve lost doing repetitive, most boring, time consuming and physically demanding work
Optimus is the beginning of a future where AI moves from the digital world into the physical world
In short:
The AI race is moving to factories and streets. Whichever side first puts a top-tier brain into an affordable physical body will dominate the global economy next decade.
A new RAND Corporation analysis of 1,181 AI companies — 743 American, 438 Chinese — reveals the real divide between the world's two AI superpowers isn't about who's smarter. It's about what each economy needs. 61% of US AI firms are pure software companies. Only 26% of Chinese firms are. Chinese AI clusters in manufacturing, transportation, and robotics — the physical economy. American AI clusters in healthcare, scientific research, and cybersecurity — the knowledge economy. China has six times more humanoid robot companies than the US: 12% of Chinese AI firms vs. just 2% of American ones. The gap in price is closing fast too: in late 2024, American models carried 90% of global developer API traffic. By April 2026, Chinese models had pulled level at 47% vs. 49%, driven by open-source models like DeepSeek and Qwen that benchmark close to top US systems at one-quarter the cost per token. "One country has taught its machines to talk and reason; the other has taught them to walk and lift," the analysis concludes. "Sooner or later, something is going to need to do both."
@2FBI_Ng Think of it like a massive library: humans wrote all the books, but AI can read, memorize, and connect every single page in seconds. So while the knowledge comes from us, the ability to synthesize it all at once is where AI goes beyond human limits.

@2FBI_Ng While AI is built on collective human knowledge, its advantage lies in processing vast amounts of data simultaneously, finding hidden patterns, and operating at a scale and speed no single human mind can match.
@2FBI_Ng That is a great point! Collective human intelligence builds AI, but its ability to process data, spot patterns, and learn at incredible speeds is what allows it to quickly scale beyond individual human limits.
The tweak lets the enzyme devour polyethylene terephthalate (PET) at nearly twice its normal speed, without melting under heat.

Tesla’s Optimus suppliers in China have already received orders 🇨🇳
And now Tesla is checking whether their production lines are ready to scale
Tesla’s robotics team is auditing suppliers across China’s Yangtze River Delta, including:
• Tuopu Group
• Sanhua Intelligent Controls
• Joyson Electronics
The important part:
According to a supply-chain source cited by The Paper, all three had already received Tesla humanoid-robot orders before these audits even began
They supply critical components including joint modules, actuators and precision structural parts
Tesla is now going deep into production-line quality and compliance, with the source saying production will begin quickly once the lines pass
And the audits go beyond Ningbo, extending into Hangzhou, Shanghai and other parts of the Yangtze River Delta
This is starting to look much less like Optimus development...
and much more like preparation to manufacture Optimus Gen 3 at scale
California's Project Nexus installed solar canopies directly over irrigation canals in Turlock, turning existing water infrastructure into a dual-purpose system that reduces evaporation and generates renewable energy without using additional land. The project, completed in 2025, tests three different panel configurations across canals ranging from 20 to 115 feet wide. Researchers at UC Merced estimate that covering 100 miles of wide canals could save enough water for 11,000 households annually and generate up to 1,400 megawatts — enough to power 304,000 homes. The panels also reduced algal and aquatic weed growth, improving water quality. California's total water supply could shrink by up to 25% by 2050 due to rising temperatures, making evaporation reduction a critical priority. The project received $20 million in state funding. A final report on results is expected later this year.
