For the first time ever, there will be a special live broadcast of the Inauguration made especially for students and families.
You can tune in live at 10am ET on #InaugurationDay. To learn more, go to https://t.co/CcOwVmBgd5.
I’ll see you there!
I’m terrified to go back into school tomorrow.
To those who stayed within your household bubble for Thanksgiving, thank you. 🙏🏼
For those who chose to selfishly go against CDC recommendations, my mama says if I don’t have anything nice to say I shouldn’t say anything at all. 👎🏻
You don’t always have to be positive all the time. It’s perfectly acceptable to feel angry, upset, frustrated, anxious or scared. Having feelings doesn’t make you a negative person, it makes you a human being. How you choose to respond to your emotions makes all the difference.
Too many teachers are experiencing empath fatigue. Here’s 5 questions to reflect on for your own balance:
* is it my stress or other peoples stuff
* am I empowering or enabling
* am I sacrificing too much
* is my sense of purpose realistic or superhero level
* am I self caring
Now is the time to renew our strength. Each person’s selfish desires must give way to sacrifice for the good of our community. Trade fear for faith in science. Please stop going to bars/ indoor restaurants and having at home get togethers during this spike https://t.co/gIK9yQNWoK
"The more opportunity we can bring students in on the solutions for what schools are going through now and what they are trying to create in the present and the future, the better."

Two years ago, I was saying “do you have any questions?”. Last year I switched to “what questions do you have?” It made a difference. Today I tried “ask me two questions”. And they did! And those ?s led to more ?s. It amazes me that the littlest things have such a big impact!
Children that display #resilience are more easily able to overcome challenges and struggles. Check out these tips from @TutorDoctor on how to build emotional resilience in kids.
Regardless of a child’s age, he or she may feel upset or have other strong emotions after an emergency. Learn how you can help children cope during the COVID-19 crisis and in other emergencies via @CDCgov: https://t.co/Yt40dPikJD
To avoid catching others’ stress:

2. Write 3 things for which you’re grateful
3. Write for 2 minutes about a positive experience
4. Exercise for 30 minutes
5. Meditate 2 minutes
