@mercifulgorn@Sauderman The question isn't having nights to honor any group of people. The issue is "forcing" players to wear something supportive of it. If a Jewish or Muslim player was on the team during the Christian night, and they were forced to wear a uni with a cross, would you be ok with that?
@GfedGoCrazy Think of it this way. The U.S. is like the entirety of Europe in terms of size. On top of that, college football is as popular as our pro sports, so every major university (usually at LEAST 2 in every state, also has a big stadium.
@TechAthletics@TexasTech@TexasTechFB Just curious if you battle this hard for students with addictions who do NOT play sports? You also say Sorsby was student. Just curious if you can show me any pictures of him attending any classes?
@R___Schmidt@FCB_Xabhi Sofi is just a corporate machine. LA games should be at the Rose Bowl. No casual, middle class sports fan likes Sofi over the Rose.
@elonmusk It's about time for you to fund the start of ice hockey at @Penn . Arena is there, just need support to start men and women's teams. Be true to your school!
@GfedGoCrazy Face value was 200-700. If it's that important to you, find a way to get season tickets and then you can get finals tickets for that price. Everyone selling for 10K is choosing money over going to the game.
@0fficerJimLahey@stoolpresidente It's about being "almost in Heaven" which is West Virginia. But they aren't there yet, because they're still driving across the Shenandoah and Blue Ridge in order to get to almost heaven.
@stoolpresidente Hey @stoolpresidente, were you a well-rounded athlete or did you just play baseball? If only baseball, why weren't you out there laying wood on the football field?
@SeanTrende This was amazing, dude. I don't even know who you are, but this showed up in one of my feeds, and it really tugged at my heart. Best thing I've read this year.
@Real_2A@bendreyfuss@jbarro@daveweigel But here's the problem. In the past, groups like Perfect Game had tryouts and selected a legit, elite group of kids. Now they just add teams based on how many will pay, so tons of kids fork out the money with no hope of college prospects. That has killed local youth leagues.
@danarestia Seeing Monticello is cool and worthwhile for the family. Other than that...just spend your time on "The Corner." There's a total dive called The White Spot. Go in there and gets you and your kids a Gus Burger. It's the most famous food thing at UVa.
@PittsburghHOF Weird thing about the cookie cutters: They were awful to watch a game, but they looked MAJESTIC from the outside. I used to be in awe as a kid looking at The Vet in Philly at night:
