Thank you to everyone who ran, organized, and supported your steps are saving lives. Cancer is not always a death sentence: 30% preventable, 30% treatable, 30% manageable with early care. Together, we are rewriting Uganda’s cancer story. Next year, let’s grow to 100,000 runners, one step closer to hope

What makes RC Yumbe remarkable, is not just the impact but, its spirit - a club mostly made up of women, formed in 2021/22, already leading boldlyBy using the Muzuzu drilling technique from Malawi, communities have been transformed at a fast pace.

Through Global Grant 2237714, they have built 575 pit latrines with interlocking bricks, distributed 968 filters, and planted mosquito-repelling grass with @MPUganda. In a district where 42% of people lack safe water, these efforts are reducing diseases and restoring dignity

Where clean water flows, hope flows. In Yumbe, I met Rotarians who drill wells using rudimentary methods. They have so far dug 20 wells, serving 12 villages, and are planning on 37 additional wells. Soon, a drilling truck they secured will speed up this life-saving work.

Our DRR @AbesageN with the rest of the leaders of Rotary and Rotaract D9214 and D9213 were joined by a thousands of humanitarians for the 14th Rotary Cancer Run 2025 at Kololo independence grounds. This year’s run attracted over 60,0000 participants and collected UGX 3.5 billion towards the construction of cancer bankers at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya.

We stepped out in Unity with @kanosug @RAC_Bwebajja & @rckampalanorth joining forces to take the fight against malaria to Mityana North. 🦟🚫

We did community mobilization, distributed prevention tools and treatment that bring us closer to a future free from this deadly disease.
