Make all the arguments of taxes & government policy but flight ticket prices in Ghana will never make sense to me.

Tell me why you can fly from Joburg to Cape Town, a distance of 1,400km with $75

But one way from Kumasi to Accra of just 240km is averagely $250.

Perhaps low competition is the only plausible explanation. Flights on this route are always full but market is so tight.

Used Elantra $2,200 that’s like 25,000ghc but if I want to send it to someone in Ghana, the Ghana Government says you have to pay 65,156ghc on duty. In fact, this nonsense has to stop. Looking at this for example makes the Government’s reason why extortion has been normalized.
