Lovely to find this post from last week's visits by Y4 pupils @NewcomenPS who spent two very cold but bright days with us, learning all about the "River Tees - Source to Mouth". They had done lots of work in school about Rivers and they impressed us with their knowledge!
Y4 enjoyed an informative trip to Teesmouth Field Centre to enhance their learning about the River Tees. The children amazed the adults at the centre with their understanding of the three courses of a river, tributaries and even explained what a confluence is. ππ
Lovely to find these photos from @AlphonsusSt , they came to study our new "Protecting Our Seashore Habitats" visit, which is funded by @StrongerShores
Well done everyone!
Year 4 have had a fantastic day at Teesmouth and North Gare today. πChildren explored the sand dunes and the mouth of the River Tees. ππ

We enjoyed working with @LayfieldPrimar1 who booked in for a joint visit - half the group visited Hartlepool Power Station for a Site Tour, while the other half learnt all about Habitats & Adaptations with us, then after lunch the two groups swapped over!
Year 6 enjoyed their trip to Hartlepool Power Station and Teesmouth Field Centre last week. We had a lot of fun looking around the station and searching for different types of creatures that can live on our shores.
