Freelancer👩🏽💻Multidisciplinary creative redefining ideas, creating from the users view. 🎨 Specialising in user experience design on the web & social media
So I’ve been made redundant but I got to lead some great projects 🤷🏽♀️ Here’s one of them, aiming to:
- Reduce cart abandonment
- Build consumer trust with consistent UI
- Improve information hierarchy and declutter the interface to ensure a quicker & smoother purchase journey
Living and breathing the old checkout helped me put together a detailed audit.
Alongside a competitor analysis this data & new found understanding of how the checkout operates was presented to our stakeholders to gain buy-in on my design decisions.
Delivering a win woo
To achieve this, understanding the users current activity was key.
This project was heavily data driven as we monitored the users click rates, drop off points and general behaviour.
Conducting interviews help us understand the “why” behind the data

Here are my observations on careers:
- Too many people add their home addresses & sensitive info to their resumes.
- After 25, people give up on themselves a lot.
Many don’t deal well with the idea of failure.
With patience and persistence, many would realize their goals are attainable if they accept failure is part of learning.
- More people should understand that preparing questions and interviewing your interviewers is a powerful signal of competence and self-esteem.
Interviewers like it when a candidate appears to have options and understands their value.
- Everyone experiences imposter syndrome, and the industry experts we look up to are no different from us.
- Most career switches for <30 happen because people want to earn more for homeownership goals.
- Millennial & Gen Z women are very career-driven and will often outperform men during interviews for Jr-Sr roles.
- Dedicating a year to a goal is surprisingly daunting to many people under 30.
- Ethnic minority women tend to strive for perfection [very understandable!], often missing out on opportunities through self-doubt.
- Many people dream but don’t deal with delayed gratification well.
I suspect this is because education teaches us to expect things to come to us once we achieve [insert qualification]
- School conditions people to believe life is linear and that there’s “a right way” to achieve things in life
