Yeah I think that stuff plays a big impact. If X is your social media platform of choice and you're typing in full sentences on it, you're definitely not a 96 IQ. And people can have big vocabularies in different areas too, which it probably doesn't account for. Talk to a IQ 100 car guy about cars and he's going to sound like a college professor at least.
Have you seen the charts that show the difference between men and womens vocab?
@JoeEsjay I think it's explained though by the fact the test tries to normalize you to 50% correct as you take it. If you are getting 50% correct on the back 20 questions of the test, that means you'll only feel really confident on maybe 25% of the questions.
I consider Dryden a friend, but:
No idea could ever come close to being as monumental as Christ’s birth, crucifixion, and resurrection. His humanity and divinity. Our salvation through Him.
This is The Idea.
Today’s pompous, futurist AI-cultists will, just like the last two millennia of Sadducees and pagans and renaissance men and ideologues, will claim that Christ is a particularly insightful instantiation of “The Good” or some such abstraction. However, they claim, it is “obviously” an anachronism for this or that reason.
Christianity is not part of the past, nor is it the defining characteristic of the future. He exists throughout eternity, outside of time, long before and after and beyond the tribulation of artificial intelligence.
@Robotbeat Next you're going to tell me it's not an imperative that the first Mars base has 20 ft of regolith on top of it the second astronauts get there.
@Robotbeat I believe interstellar travel will be possible one day because I'm a Christian. Not with total certainty, but I just don't think God would create so much space just to be seen with telescopes.
@SciGuySpace Most likely, hmm. I think that makes this a question of which comes first: humans on Mars or 10k starship launches. My guess is Mars first but I'm not confident.
@AfterTheReset@QuetzalPhoenix Perfect example of something where it's super exaggerated.
@grok If a miniature dachshund eats a whole standard Hershey's milk chocolate bar, is that over or under the minimum range where the dog should start to have a reaction to the chocolate?
@BellikOzan I would say while I liked the initial moderation changes, it wasn't immediately any better for me as a user. Maybe even slightly worse. Over time though, it's just gradually gotten better. Now it's much better.
Yep. I combined a few of the variations used by Lutherans over the years. At most I could understand adding a little bit to personalize it, but I've never seen vows someone wrote fully themselves that didn't seem to cheapen the promise as compared to something more standard.
(Now someone will reply with their vows that are the exception.)
