@UCI_CX I found the TV coverage remarkable, offering unusual camera angles — I’m thinking of the shots of the finish line taken from behind… It was probably France 3 Normandie that handled the broadcast. 👍
Il y a un an, Muriel Furrer a perdu la vie pendant les Championnats du monde de cyclisme à Zurich. Blick s'est entretenu avec l'homme qui a retrouvé l'athlète allongée dans la forêt. https://t.co/IksIFVBi1u
Less than 1 year ago, Muriel Furrer crashed at the World Championships in Zürich, couldn't be found in time, and passed away.
That is why safety measures like rider tracking systems, are not only important but URGENT, to make sure this never happens again.
It physically hurts and saddens me that pro cycling can't make a simple test event for a rider safety tracking system work.
Even after what happened last year, some stakeholders still prioritise commercial interests, politics and power struggles, over rider safety.
I love this sport, but on days like today, that's not possible.
