He left out some details too - it gets worse. The judge basically said the worst part about it was that it would lead to more racism again Sikhs, not that an innocent man was murdered. Also, the knife wasn't even a kirpan! And after the attack, the police went and confiscated the victim's dad's phone, to see if they could find anything racist there (I guess they think that would have justified the murder).
I'm almost as impressed by the communication as I am by the fact that *they plan to fly again THIS YEAR*
Go Blue Origin!
Hell of a time to be a spaceflight fan! 🇺🇸🇺🇸
Some LC-36 updates. Now that we’ve had access to the pad and integration facility we can share a bit of good news. The propellant farm, oxygen, liquid hydrogen and LNG tanks are all in good shape. This is good luck because these are very long lead items. The water tower is also good. The big support tower is damaged, but it can be repaired in place rather than torn down and replaced. The booster “Never Tell Me The Odds” and the three GS-2s that were onsite in the integration facility also look good.
I’ve seen some speculation that we might move directly to the 9x4 configuration, but we won’t do that. Rate manufacturing of 7x2 is going well, and we’re going to continue that at pace as planned and store the stages for use. In addition, we had already been working for some time on eliminating our transporter-erector in favor of an alternative vertical conop, and we’ll now go directly to that; so we don’t need a new transporter-erector.
We will fly again before the end of this year. Gradatim Ferociter.
We are so lucky to have Jared Isaacman. It’s of course premature to comment on such things, but there will be NASA centers and Moon bases named after him. He is a world historic figure.
@AlwaysFlacko@lhpanthermom The campaign against him is formulated around everything he does, believes, and stands for being antithetical to the values of Texans, not that he is literally a foreigner. If you lie about what we are saying it's easy to say we are wrong.
@CSI_Starbase@ahmedshubber25 If the federal government gave them full access to the army corps of engineers do you think they would be any faster, or is it just not a thing you can do faster with more resources?
Really excellent talk. I feel like I could link this to anyone that feels they don't have the time to read your book and it would be a great summary of your story and ideas.
I thought it was funny how the first QA question the guy immediately asks "Ok but forget all that, how could lower class Americans possibly vote for such an obviously big dumb evil man like Trump?", as if to make an example of himself. I don't even think the guy was acting in bad faith or with a negative motive, it just shows the information culture in Canadian intellectuals.
Otherwise great questions, and a special shoutout to the host. He was perfectly prepared, gracious, and had a perfect sense of when to move the conversation or inject his own thoughts/questions and when to let you speak.
