@TiocfaidhArLa66 @wereontheditch Except the key statement "An Irish Air Traffic Controller". The staff employed by AirNav Ireland in this circumstance are not Air Traffic Controllers, they are Radio Operators. Shanwick's ATCOs are based in Scotland. They may be Irish, but most aren't.

Shanwick is made of two functions: "Shanwick Control" is based in Scotland and houses the 'control' function. "Shanwick Radio" is based in Co Clare and is staffed by Radio Operators.
