It’s hard to say but when then Disney CEO Michael Eisner personally flew to China to give a groveling apology to the CCP in 1998 for the “mistake” of releasing a “sensitive” film, a line was drawn in the sand.

A line that signaled a new era in which the Free World was happy to sell its soul.

The Disney film was Kundun, a biopic of the 14th Dalai Lama, directed by Martin Scorsese (who is still banned from entering China for making this film!).

What’s happened to Tibet and Tibetan culture since then is tragic.

Today, even the word “Tibet” has been erased in China
