501c3 on a mission to increase healthcare access and to provide equitable healthcare to the people of the Philippines #TenorioFdn#Philippines#HealthForAll 🇵🇭
Last night was the most difficult Common Council meeting I have ever had. This was the most exhausted and defeated I have felt coming home from City Hall.
I introduced both a mask mandate ordinance and a resolution condemning anti-Asian American Pacific Islander hate crimes.
Kuya was passionate about increasing access to #healthcare, and his goal for the Tenorio Foundation was to do the same for the people of the #Philippines. This month we bear Periwinkle and ask for your support to further our #globalhealth missions.
April is #esophagealcancerawarenessmonth. This month, we remember our founder Kuya Kevin Tenorio who battled this disease. Esophageal cancer is cancer of the esophagus, the tube that connects the throat to the stomach, and is a rare disease.
Did you know that because there are no specific symptoms to indicate early disease, most esophageal cancers are detected incidentally and at later stages making them one of the more deadlier forms of cancer? #cancer#globalhealth
We thank everyone who has supported us along our journey so far but the battle has not been won. In addition to the countless lives lost to these events, many have been displaced. We will continue to rely on your support so that we can be there for them. 💙💙💙
November was #StomachCancer awareness month. In January of 2018, founder of the Tenorio Foundation, @iamkevinangelo was diagnosed with late stage lower #Esophagealcancer that spread to the stomach shortly after. In April 2019 he passed away.
A donation to us has an immediate and substantial impact, going directly to the families and community members that need help the quickest. We stand for aid to our brothers and sisters and we will continue to be there.
In some places, as cases of #COVID19 go down, some control measures are being lifted. But this doesn’t mean we should go back to the ‘old normal.’ If we don’t stay vigilant and protect ourselves and others, #coronavirus cases may go up again.
#staysafe
Acts like this is what the Tenorio Foundation stand for. With global citizens like Davin Bennett, using what they have for the sake of humanity, we are hopeful for a better tomorrow. 💙

The Tenorio Foundation sends it sincerest thoughts and prayers to those affected by the series of typhoons that have devastated the Luzon region. We remain committed to providing aid to the PH in the spirit of global citizenship. Stay strong.
