“School Choice” is another form of violence against our society’s most vulnerable. It’s a thinly-veiled way to divest from public education. People sing praises to foster parents and feign compassion for kids “in the system” but when rubber hits the road they complain about taxes
74% of voters support school choice, but the Democrats just won’t listen. Political activism has infiltrated our schools and is failing our students. #NationalSchoolChoiceWeek gives us the opportunity to advocate for better opportunities for America’s youth.
Thanks for making the space for me, and hope we can all make space for others to tell their stories in the weeks to come.
And to those who wish to paper over their misdeeds by rushing us to all “move on” - we can move on when the individuals responsible are held to account.
2 things: 1 when liberals feel comfy speaking OVER Black folks bc they strolled in a #BlackLivesMatter protest & voted for Obama🙄, & 2) When #CPS teachers were striking for things like CLEAN SCHOOLS, nurses, & social workers, ppl like Brooks wld hv told them to shut up & teach.

I shook my head.
@SonderToday I keep imagining one of them will grow a conscious and be like, “yo, federal government, this is how we’re ripping you off. Close all these loopholes and we can fix the national deficit.”
So....do medical vignettes REALLY need to include race? Like, really? Why does your vignette about uncontrolled hypertension and medication non-compliance need to include a Black patient? 🙄 what exactly are you teaching?
